Design Services for Harwich Homeowners
Harwich covers a lot of ground and a lot of house types, and the design work varies accordingly. We work in Harwich Port near Wychmere and Saquatucket Harbors, in Harwich Center and the village areas, through West Harwich along the Herring River, and out through East Harwich toward Pleasant Bay and Round Cove.
The town's cranberry-farming history left behind a stock of nineteenth-century farmhouses with small, compartmented rooms, and a common Harwich project is opening a kitchen out of that original arrangement without losing what makes the house worth owning. Nearer the harbors, the work skews toward higher-end waterfront properties where the kitchen is expected to handle real entertaining, and toward seasonal homes that need storage and durability suited to heavy summer use and long quiet winters.
East Harwich, by contrast, is largely year-round and more recently built, which means straighter walls, larger rooms, and more freedom to move plumbing. Whatever the house, the process is the same: measured survey, scaled floor plan, elevations, and 3D renderings before anything is ordered.
